Lomini Ltd. supplied four mobile oceanographic systems within the MARLEN project

MARLEN Project

In March 2016, Lomini Ltd. delivered to Burgas Municipality oceanographic monitoring systems, in relation to the “Marine litter, eutrophication and noise assessment tools – (MARLEN)” project.

Four ships were equipped with a system that collects information and analyzes samples of sea water. The system transmits real time data – turbidity, dissolved oxygen levels, conductivity, chlorophyll levels, etc. – to the Institute of oceanology – Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IO-BAS).

For examining underwater noise within the MARLEN project, Lomini Ltd. delivered four hydrophones, which record underwater sound.

The Black sea is of great importance for Bulgaria and it is our responsibility to look after it. The MARLEN project is one big step for the country towards preserving a national treasure.
